The Ladies Team

The ladies golfing year is well under way with the Bronze and Silver matches as well as a number of knockout, medal and club competitions. To start the season we had our traditional match with those venerable gentlemen for the Veterans. As usual, in spite of the dreadful weather, we had a really enjoyable day and look forward to our Autumn Meeting in October.
Our Spring Meeting was held at the end of April with an 18 hole singles match played in the morning and 9 holes four ball better ball in the afternoon followed by an evening meal. The day was a great success with £55 being raised for charity.
To date, four Bronze matches have been contested with wins against Romford (a) and Harwich and Dovercourt (h); and two losses against Woolston Manor (a) and to Cannonsbrook (a) in the pouring rain on Monday 14th May. Thanks to all the players and caddies and best wishes for the coming season.

Just a reminder to our fellow members that the main competition day for ladies is Wednesday with the majority of ladies going out between 9.00-10.30 am and the alternative day is Saturday.
